Charteris tops 2016 performance

Charteris Treasury Portfolio Managers Limited (Charteris), the London-based boutique fund manager, is
pleased to announce that it achieved a banner year of investment performance, including the best
performing equity fund from all categories, in 2016.

The company’s WAY Charteris Gold & Precious Metals Fund beat approximately 4,000 collective funds in the UK to clinch the No 1 position across all sectors designated by the Investment Association, according to data published by FE Analytics.

The fund closed 2016 with a gain of 133.95%*, about 26 percentage points higher than the second placed
fund for the 2016 calendar year.

Two of the three other funds managed by Charteris also delivered strong growth last year and were placed in the top decile of their respective sectors:

The HC Charteris Premium Income Fund came fourth in the IA Equity Income Sector comprising 81 funds and delivered a total return of 18% last year.

The HC Charteris Global Macro Fund rose 32% in 2016, achieving 26th position in the IA Global sector
(265 funds).
