Charteris was established in 1984, to provide financial services to private clients in the West Country. It remained a purely local business until the current management team took over in 2002, with the intention of expanding the firm towards creating a private client business able to compete with industry giants.
Our unique approach to investment has stood the test of time. Today, Charteris is growing its presence all over UK and continental Europe, while maintaining high-quality personal service and long-term relationships as key priority. Established in the City of London, we also have presence in Scotland and the South East of England, along with an admin department in Exeter.
A large number of our clients and their families have been with us for generations, and most of our team members have a long-standing association with the company. Our truly bespoke service is steeped in tradition, yet we remain focused on the future, as we apply state-of-the-art technological solutions to the challenge of keeping investors informed and constantly improving our offer.
