City Financial Strategic Gilt Fund
Launched in December 2006 and managed by Charteris, the fund was in 2007& 2009 the number one performing UK gilt fund* and went on to achieve outstanding results becoming the number one fund in the UK IMA Gilt sector in the first three years of its life*. This performance led to the fund and manager Ian Williams being “highly commended” at the FMYA ceremony 2010.
The City Financial Strategic Gilt Fund aims to offer a superior risk adjusted return over that of passively holding a conventional gilt portfolio with similar characteristics. The funds portfolio is fine tuned by utilising a set of return-enhancing investment tools that have generated significant performance.
Charteris also have unique access to the proprietary Giltsoftmodel. Developed by gilt expert Patrick Phillips, this unique real-time model has an exceptional track record of successfully forecasting the all important shape of the yield curve.
