Dublin-based Eddie Shaw is a former Managing Director of Hibernian General Insurance Co Ltd and Hibernian Investment Managers. He was with Hibernian Group plc for nearly 30 years of which 15 years were spent managing the assets of the Group. He was an executive Director of the Group Board.

He is a past President of the Insurance Institute of Ireland and a life member of the Chartered Insurance Institute. He is currently Chairman of the National Safety Council in Ireland, a state-sponsored organisation responsible for promoting road and fire safety through risk management and awareness programmes.
